Once you have the police report, call your insurance company immediately. You should contact them after submitting all necessary information to the police because the insurance company will need the report number and other information from the report.

Once the burglary has been documented, you need to get back to normal life. It’s a good idea to ask your friends or relatives to help, as it can be emotional to clean up the signs of the break-in.
